Profhilo

Hyaluronic | Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance produced in the body and found in the skin, joints and other connective tissues. Its role is to retain moisture in the body and help in the production of collagen. It can hold 1000 times its weight in water, which makes it ideal for binding moisture to the skin. With age, however, the production of hyaluronic acid slows down and the skin looks duller and dehydrated, creating fine lines and wrinkles

Elastin | Collagen

It is injected just below the surface of the skin where it quickly diffuses to instantly enhance hydration. Over the next four weeks the second phase begins as it starts to work by boosting elastin and collagen production. This effectively restructures the skin and gives it a firmer and smoother appearance

Profhilo | Recommendation

Due to its gel-like consistency, Profhilo is distributed smoothly and evenly without forming lumps – a potential danger with traditional fillers. This means that it can be used in areas that are difficult to treat with traditional fillers, such as the neck and forehead.

Profhilo can be used on the face, neck, décolleté, hands, neck, neck and arms. and knees or any part of the body where the skin shows visible signs of aging. Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of stabilized hyaluronic acid.

Treatment |

The full treatment consists of two sessions, one month apart. A further session may be recommended after about six months in order to prolong the effect. It is injected just under the skin using very fine needles at predetermined points. It is relatively painless and usually does not require local anesthesia for pain before treatment. The treatment itself is very quick, taking only about 10 minutes. It is suitable for people over 30 years old who are uncomfortable with loose skin or other visible signs of aging, such as fine lines or wrinkles.

Profhilo can be used alone or in combination with other fillers, laser treatments or Botox as a complementary and not as a competitive treatment.

There is no recovery time. It is recommended not to consume alcohol, aspirin or anti-inflammatories medicines for 24 hours before treatment. Immediately after the treatment, make-up and any intense physical activity is prohibited for 24 hours, saunas and steam baths are also prohibited for a few days after the treatment.

Risks |

There are no long-term side effects. Profhilo is fully metabolized by the body. An allergy test is not required before treatment. The risk of allergic reactions is significantly reduced because Profhilo does not contain synthetic chemicals to which some people may react. Some people may experience redness, slight bruising, tenderness as well as itching at the injection sites, but these were temporary and should subside within a few hours to a day.

Contraindications |

Patients with bleeding disorders or a weakened immune system due to, for example, infectious diseases, cancer, HIV or diabetes should consult their doctor before taking Profhilo. Cosmetic injectable treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
